If pages are loading incorrectly, you’re stuck on an old version of the site, or you’re having trouble logging in or claiming a bonus, clearing Safari’s cache and cookies usually fixes it. There are two ways to do this on a Mac: Method A removes cookies and cached site data without touching your browsing history, while Method B is the full reset it clears history, cookies and cache in one go.

Before you start

Clearing cookies signs you out of every website in Safari including your Flush.io account. Make sure you know your login details (and have access to your 2FA method) before you clear anything. Saved passwords in iCloud Keychain are not affected.

Method A: Remove cookies & website data

1. Open Safari, then click Safari in the menu bar (top-left of the screen) and choose Settings… (on older macOS versions this is labelled Preferences…).

2. In the Settings window, select the Privacy tab.

3. Click Manage Website Data…. Safari takes a few seconds to load the list of sites that have stored data.

4. Click Remove All to clear cookies and cached data for every site, then confirm with Remove Now. To clear just one site instead, search for it, select it, and click Remove.

5. Click Done and close Settings. You’re finished reload the page you were having trouble with.

Method B: Clear History (full reset)

This clears browsing history, cookies and cache together the quickest fix when you’re not sure what’s causing the problem.

1. In the menu bar, click History, then choose Clear History… at the bottom of the menu.

2. In the dropdown, choose how far back to clear pick all history for a complete reset.

3. Click Clear History to confirm.

Cache only (optional)

To empty the cache without deleting cookies or being logged out: enable the Develop menu via Safari › Settings › Advanced › “Show features for web developers”, then choose Develop › Empty Caches (⌥⌘E). Useful when you only need to force a fresh copy of the site.

After clearing

Close and reopen Safari, then go back to the site. You’ll need to sign in again, cookies store your login session, so being logged out everywhere is expected. If the original problem persists after clearing, try a private browsing window to rule out extensions, check for a Safari update, or contact support with a description of what you’re seeing.
